Born in the city of Lexington, Kentucky, D'Andre McNair, better known as 'Danny Whacko', honestly wasn't the biggest fan of music growing up. It wasn't until he met a few friends in Augusta, GA that a passion for making music spawned, and it's crazy how one silly freestyle from a friend turned on a light bulb that Danny didn't know he had in him. From that moment on, Danny drew inspiration from his homies around him and the idols he listened to regularly (OFWGKTA one of his favs). The name "Danny Whacko" comes from an extension on his friends calling him "Dan" in high-school, and being inspired by his discovery of Tierra Whack. The music that Danny makes is kinda hard to put in one box/category. One moment he's hitting you with bars using a complex rhyme scheme over an intense 808 aggressive beat, the next he's on some boom-bap or melodic vibe instrumental talking about life or love. Danny Whacko is the now, and the future.
